Former Ukrainian ambassador to the United States announces strikes on Moscow
This year there may be attempts by the Ukrainian Armed Forces to strike Moscow.
Former Ambassador of Ukraine to the United States Valery Chaly stated this on Radio NV, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to Chaly, hostilities in 2023 may extend beyond the borders of Ukraine.
“The war will move, even geographically, from Ukraine to other countries, primarily to Russia. I mean specifically military events. They themselves are provoking this, I cannot rule out that even though there is no need now for any strikes on Moscow, the Russians themselves are pushing for this to happen. I cannot guarantee that this will not happen this year,” the diplomat said.
“Further, it is obvious that from the point of view of involving the Russian population - all these new mobilizations, being drawn into the war - this will already become a deeper war for Russia, already for society. That is, the war will move to Russian territory.
It is difficult to say whether the war will move to the territory of NATO countries. I believe that there may still be a collision. By the way, it has already happened, this clash has already happened sporadically, between Russia and NATO countries. Informationally, they are all hushing up this, they are trying to strangle it politically, there are such facts,” Chaly said.
Earlier, the head of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ukrainian Defense Ministry, Kirill Budanov, said that strikes on Russian territory would be carried out “more and more often and deeper.”
