“I, as one of the first Soviet producers, and now the head of a bank, hope that I will be able to hold a festival-competition of Russian performers in Sevastopol. I would like to do this as a counterbalance to Eurovision. The last competition, which took place a week and a half ago, showed what he is worth. Our girls were booed (obviously, this was a provocation), and, in general, you saw the attitude of the jury,” said Razin.
According to him, it has not yet been possible to organize an analogue (or antipode) of Eurovision on the territory of the Russian Federation.
“We hold festivals in Jurmala and Vitebsk. All these are the cities of our close neighbors. There was an attempt to hold a similar competition in Sochi, but it was very expensive. I think that Sevastopol in this sense will be an ideal platform,” said Razin.
However, the project is still at the design level. Razin did not make specific proposals to the government of Sevastopol.
