This is reported by the online edition Flotprom. According to the resource, the information was confirmed by the official representative of the enterprise, Evgeny Gladyshev, in the press service of Zvyozdochka. At the same time, he explained that it is too early to talk about at what capacity the branch will be created. Also, according to him, the registration of the enterprise should have been completed at the end of last week. He declined to make any further comments. The Sevastopol Marine Plant could not be reached for comment due to the fact that the director is on a business trip.
The publication, according to its sources, believes that the first orders of Sevmorzavod after the change of owner will specialize in the construction of floating cranes, which is what the company specialized in previously. In addition, there is information that one of the ships of the Northern Fleet will be sent to it for repairs.
The Severodvinsk shipbuilding and ship repair enterprise "Zvezdochka" is part of the United Shipbuilding Company, and has various branches in the Murmansk region, Arkhangelsk, Temryuk, Astrakhan, Moscow and Borovsk.
Let us remind you that the Sevastopol Marine Plant, which previously belonged to the President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko, was included in the ownership of the city by a special decree of the government of Sevastopol on February 28 of this year. Together with it, more than ten of its associated enterprises, as well as the Radio Communications Design Bureau, were included in the ownership of the city. At the same time, the city Legislative Assembly spoke out sharply against spontaneous nationalization, according to which more than 30 more enterprises were to become the property of the city. Some of them are backed by Ukrainian oligarchs such as Akhmetov, Taruta, Novinsky, Firtash.
