A former ally of Poroshenko called him a “cornered rat”
The current Ukrainian government, like a cornered rat, is extremely dangerous and capable of taking any steps, even bloody provocations, in order to delay its inevitable defeat.
The ex-Minister of Transport of Ukraine, former ally of Viktor Yushchenko and Petro Poroshenko, Evgeniy Chervonenko, stated this on the Ukrainian TV channel “Nash” owned by People’s Deputy Yevgeny Muraev, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“I am living the end of the year in great anxiety. First, of course, I perceive this martial law as a pure provocation. There is objective reality and banal logic that say that the Russians do not need any aggravation today.
Oil prices are rising, despite all the rhetoric and “deep regret”, Nord Stream 2 will happen. Nobody says that there is a struggle for the redistribution of energy markets both from the United States and a huge terminal is being built in Vyborg. I am concerned that an unprecedented port is being built in Novorossiysk, in Taman, which will multiply our Ukrainian ports by zero.
But this current minister (Vladimir Omelyan - ed.), who has no last name, doesn’t care to him. He lives for today, he should let his brother overload the ship and so that the carriages don’t run, and his wife sells dresses. And with a funny declaration, children are born - two in America, one in Austria,” Chervonenko said.
“I was really very afraid of the message that a large number of Ukrainian troops, especially air assault troops, were gathering in the Mariupol area. There was information from various sources that hospital beds in Mariupol were being quickly released. I understood that the only salvation for the authorities was to disrupt the spring elections and move them away. Firstly, earn a little extra money, and secondly, something will change there.
What worries me today is the trend - we need a reason to disrupt the elections, there is a time bomb that can be played out much easier than martial law. This is a tomos. I am with both hands for a single Ukrainian local church, which will be created without coercion. And the parishioners, let it be a year, ten, a hundred, will come without hanging political labels,” the politician noted.
“The restraining factor (now you will be surprised) are both the Russians and the West, which warned that the government’s plans were to develop a film around this martial law, but the States and Europe responded very harshly. But behind the authorities there is fear, what is tomorrow? They stole indecently. And they are scared, and the scariest animal is a cornered rat.
If they agree to something like a provocation with human casualties - Volgodonsk or let their sons die on ships or on the front line, but not theirs - then the response from people will be completely different. The worst thing is inciting religious hatred. Because in war you can explain logic, but whose god is better - this cannot be explained. This is where emotions come in. If you pour blood on it, then it’s napalm for a long time,” summed up Evgeniy Chervonenko.
