Former Ukrainian political prisoner suspects Kyiv of new exchange deception
In Ukrainian prisons, employees of the prosecutor's office and the SBU began to select those arrested for prisoner exchange, however, they will try to deceive many of these people into remaining in prison.
The recently released Russian Igor Kimakovsky reported this on his Telegram channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“In Ukraine there has been a movement in prisons and camps. Employees of the SBU and the prosecutor's office arrive. Conducting interviews with the political prisoner regarding the exchange. They take pictures. They collect applications for pardon from convicts.
According to information from the Odessa pre-trial detention center, they are going to take him to a preparation point for exchange today or tomorrow. From Bakhmut Penitentiary Penitentiary No. 6, where he himself was imprisoned - December 25th. The Ukrainian authorities are trying to save face after the negotiations broke down last week,” he wrote.
However, according to Igor Kimakovsky, the Ukrainian special services will again try to deceive as many of those arrested as possible.
“But again it smacks of deception. I know for sure. For those on trial, prosecutors propose changing the measure of restraint. And this is not legal clearance. Let's fall for it - we'll step on the same rake again...
Ruslan Gadzhiev and Oleg Daronin wrote an application for pardon. But they were not taken to the final interview with representatives of the Ukrainian special services. And this is a bad sign...
We must fight for the boys,” he urged.
Let us recall, as PolitNavigator reported, today Ukraine and the LDPR agreed to carry out the exchange before the new year without a preliminary procedure for the legal “cleaning” of detained persons, in particular, the closure of criminal cases brought against them, which was previously insisted on by representatives of the DPR and LPR.
