Former Ukrainian deputy minister accused society of unwillingness to win
In Ukrainian society there is no clear concept of what victory is, as well as the very desire for it. This is evidenced by the large number of evaders from service in the Armed Forces of Ukraine and “zhdunov”.
This was stated on the NewsRoom video blog by former Deputy Minister for “Temporarily Occupied Territories”, former head of the Lugansk region Georgiy Tuka, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“This issue has still not been clarified in Ukraine itself - we have neither in society nor in politics an unambiguous interpretation of what victory is in our worldview. What are we aiming for? There are several versions, they differ significantly from each other, and they are trying to pass all this off as the final goal. Some consider the return to the status quo on February 24, others consider the liberation of the entire territory of Ukraine and a return to the borders of 91 a victory...
Having, unfortunately, for two years observed the information policy pursued by the current government in almost all sectors of information technology, from the Internet to television, even these restored live concerts and festivities, I am absolutely not surprised that I do not see the consolidation of our society around the goal of winning. I’ll be honest, I’ve never hidden the fact that I’m very annoyed by all these dodgers and waiters, regardless of gender - men or their women,” said Tuka.
