This is possible if an attempt is made in Japan to deprive him of his citizenship, the politician said on Thursday in Sevastopol, reports TASS.
“If such a danger arises, I do not rule out that I will take advantage of Mr. Belaventsev’s invitation. I am grateful to him for this,” said Hatoyama.
A proposal to deprive Hatoyama of citizenship on Wednesday was made by one of the leaders of the Liberal Democratic Party of Japan, Takashi Fukaya. Hatoyama suggested that such harsh statements by the Japanese politician are due to the fact that he competed with his brother in one of the constituencies in the last elections.
The day before, at a meeting between the leadership of the Republic of Crimea and Yukio Hatoyama, Plenipotentiary Belaventsev, addressing the politician, said: “If your democrats give you difficult times, we will immediately receive you here. Stay with us, we are always glad to have friends.”
