Former Deputy Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine: Problems with fuel and grain await us
Ukraine must prepare for the fact that next winter it will be even harder than this one. Therefore, now it is necessary to sow as much area as possible with wheat and accumulate fuel.
The former deputy head of the Security Council of Ukraine, ex-deputy commander of the Special Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, General Sergei Krivonos, stated this on the air of the Direct TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“We understand that the war may drag on. Now any piece of Ukrainian land must be sown, and farmers must be supported in order to grow the required amount of crop as much as possible. We must calculate what to do with this harvest, what part to sell to fill our budget, and what part to put into the strategic food reserve if this war continues. We also need to calculate this now.
“We need to calculate what fuel reserves we should make, taking into account the fact that the enemy is powerfully hitting large oil and gas fuel facilities. We must learn to store fuel in conventional automobile and railway platforms throughout Ukraine, disperse these supplies of food and fuel, draw conclusions and provide assistance in equipping many homes not only with electric diesel engines for generating electricity, but the question is also about the supply of wind turbines. stations.
That is, no matter what the enemy does, we must face the next winter much more prepared,” Krivonos said.
