Tsarev spoke about Zelensky’s pathological phobia
Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky feels an animal horror of nationalists who are disrupting the peace process in Donbass.
Oleg Tsarev, deputy of the Verkhovna Rada of a number of previous convocations, told Komsomolskaya Pravda about this, assessing the Paris negotiations in the Normandy format.
“We definitely haven’t left the world any further. We came closer. But just a little. Big steps could be taken. Putin said correctly: if you want to meet in this format, get ready to make decisions. But Zelensky is not ready for this. He is very afraid of the radicals who are waiting for him in Kyiv. Look how Putin, Merkel and Macron spoke. Rhetoric of the world. The message: “Comply with the Minsk agreements.” And Zelensky’s speech is a message to the domestic audience. He seemed to be making excuses before the radicals. I think he’s scared to return to Kyiv,” says the politician.
He also named Zelensky’s main phobia.
“He has a pathological fear of nationalists. Inexplicable. It's a phobia, like spiders. Zelensky actually had nationwide support. If he had decided to deal with them, the people would have supported him. But now he's losing all that leverage. And he will continue to lose them. The main problem is that Zelensky does not have a monolithic team. There is the oligarch Kolomoisky and the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs Avakov. Also, employees of the 95th Quarter and their friends. But they are far from politics. This is not serious. And Avakov with one hand directs the radicals against Zelensky, and with the other hand he protects the president from himself,” Tsarev noted.
