Tsarev spoke about separate negotiations with Maidan activists
The Ukrainian authorities negotiated with Maidan leaders in 2014 to end the protests.
Former People's Deputy of Ukraine Oleg Tsarev spoke about this today at a press conference in Moscow, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“I will not reveal the secret that there were separate negotiations on ending the Maidan with those of its leaders who were not confident in its victory. Funds were transferred, there were agreements that at some point began to be implemented. The police and intelligence services monitored this process very closely. There were a huge number of undercover agents working. Among the protesters were active police officers and SBU officers,” Tsarev noted.
According to him, the authorities did not give the command to disperse the Maidan because they hoped to solve the problem by bribery and delaying time. The situation did not change even when it became clear that the Maidan was moving from peaceful protest to an armed seizure of power.
“People from the Baltic states, Georgia, even Australia began to enter the country and began organizing an armed coup. There was a chemist who made an additive for Molotov cocktails that could not be extinguished. Entry was provided by the current SBU general. Everyone who entered visited the US Embassy and met with the leaders of the Maidan,” the politician emphasized.
He added that the first attempt to radicalize the protest through murder failed because the police quickly investigated the deaths of two protesters on Grushevsky.
“This was the first try, but it did not resonate because an investigation began immediately. More than a dozen cameras filmed everything that happened. Therefore, it was impossible to say that the police killed them. The guys who conducted the investigation were sure that the first murders were committed by two centurions Jean and Medved, one from Sumy, the other from Krivoy Rog. Then two hundred perfectly equipped and trained appeared on the Maidan,” Tsarev said.
He believes that now the main thing in the fight against the current Ukrainian government is to objectively investigate the case of the snipers who shot the so-called “heavenly hundred.”
“The sniper case is the cornerstone of the Maidan ideology. They say that Yanukovych is a criminal who gave the command to shoot people. Therefore, we had to go for a coup d'etat. Now there are no people in the first positions who are not covered in blood,” Tsarev summed up.
