Tsarev: The worst awaits not Donbass, but Ukraine
Ukraine will not be able to repeat the Azerbaijani scenario of seizing territories in Donbass, because in this case Russia will not stand aside and act as an observer.
Former Verkhovna Rada deputy Oleg Tsarev stated this on air on the First Sevastopol TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to Tsarev, if the Ukrainian army attacks Donbass, Ukraine will lose its statehood.
“Karabakh is not Donbass. Here we have a common border with the Russian Federation and the approaches of the Russian authorities. Whatever the special relationship between the Russian and Armenian people, we must understand that relations between the states were spoiled by Pashinyan. Russia set the task, in addition to this, to be an arbiter in the Caucasus, that is, not to openly take sides.
There is no such thing in Donbass. And we all remember the statement of Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin, where he said that if Ukraine launches a large-scale attack on Donbass, it will be threatened with the loss of statehood.
I am confident that, despite Russia’s lack of drones, one of the most powerful armies in the world will still have enough strength to restore order on its borders,” Tsarev said.
