Tsarev: “It’s time to stop being shy and start planting our flags”
Russia needs to stop being shy and start acting tough in Ukraine, planting its flags over occupied settlements.
Former deputy of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, ex-speaker of the parliament of Novorossiya Oleg Tsarev stated this on the radio “Komsomolskaya Pravda”, reports the correspondent of “PolitNavigator”.
According to Tsarev, previously the military was prohibited from removing Ukrainian flags so as not to irritate the local population.
“(Now) filming is in full swing. No decision was made, and still no decision has been made. (Should accept) those people who planned the special operation. I’ll simply explain the situation to you: near Kiev, the military was forbidden to remove Ukrainian flags. They said: “Let’s not irritate the local population, this is a special operation, there is no referendum, this is Ukrainian territory, we just came here,” and so on.
And I was categorically against it. Well, how is it possible? Wherever the Soviet Red Army came, they came to Budapest and planted a red flag. Well, how can an army not fly under its own flag, how can this be? How can you leave a flag? The flag is a symbol of the state. If the flag is Ukrainian, then Ukrainian laws apply. If Ukrainian laws are in effect, then any policeman must come up and arrest our soldier as a violator of Ukrainian laws.
Well, how can this be? Therefore, we need to make decisions and stop being shy. In Ukraine, no one is shy - if we continue to be shy, nothing good will come of it, we must act toughly,” Tsarev emphasized.
