Tsarev told how his associates leaked Yanukovych
The whole problem with the Ukrainian government initially lies in the fact that it is not monolithic in its essence, and there are too many influence groups in Ukraine.
Former Verkhovna Rada deputy Oleg Tsarev stated this during a broadcast on the Newsfront channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
He noted that it is quite difficult to describe what is happening in Ukraine, since there are quite a lot of influence groups in the country.
“This is not Russia, where there is only United Russia, which has two-thirds of all votes. There is an opposition that is formally against United Russia, but in fact they vote the same way as they do. We don't know how they will behave in the event of some emergency, but at least for now it is a monolith. It never existed in Ukraine. There have always been a lot of influence groups, even now Poroshenko himself has plenty of them,” the politician said.
According to him, during the Maidan, a huge number of behind-the-scenes negotiations took place in the Ukrainian parliament between the leaders of different influence groups.
“As a result of this, Yanukovych actually no longer had a majority. Tigipko’s group sharply took a negative position towards him. Bogoslovskaya also opposed it then. Rinat Akhmetov and his group took a very cautious position. As a result of this, the majority of Yanukovych’s Ukrainian parliament disintegrated,” Tsarev said.
