“Tsarskoye Selo” by Petro Poroshenko in the center of Kyiv: the media uncovered a scheme for illegal acquisition of land
Kiev, February 13 (PolitNavigator, Vasily Ablyazimov) - The Ukrainian edition of the American radio station Radio Liberty conducted an investigation into how the President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko got a huge plot of land in the historical center of Kiev at 5 Radialnaya Street. Journalists claim that Poroshenko took possession of the land, thanks to a corruption scheme under the former mayor of Kyiv Leonid Chernovetsky. Petro Poroshenko and his party comrades Igor Kononenko received more than a hectare of land in the center of the capital without paying a penny, that is, they actually stole from the state.

The first deputy head of the Petro Poroshenko Bloc faction in the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, Igor Kononenko, and Petro Poroshenko himself own two plots of land at 5 Radialnaya Street in the so-called. “Tsarskoe Selo” in the historical center of Kyiv in Pechersk. These plots went to business partners in 2009. The total cost of the land, according to Radio Liberty, at that time was more than 25 million dollars, while journalists uncovered a scheme of how Poroshenko and Kononenko received land in the center of Kiev without paying the state a penny, that is, in fact, withdrawing it from state property.
In 2007, the legal heir of the state limited liability company "Zelenbudservsik-K", which owned plots of land on Radialnaya, 5, became a cooperative with the same name. “Zelenbudservice-K” as an LLC (founder Igor Kononenko) grew seedlings for landscaping in Kyiv on these plots of land. In 2009, the Kiev City Council transferred these plots of land free of charge to a cooperative with the same name, thereby implementing the traditional cross-scheme from the time of Leonid Chernovetsky. This project is being promoted by the Secretary of the Kyiv City Council Oles Dovgy, the current people's deputy close to Poroshenko, and Igor Kononenko, at that time a deputy of the Kyiv City Council from the party of Leonid Chernovetsky and one of the founders of the housing and communal cooperative "Zelenbudservsi-K".
Next, the cooperative, whose founders are exclusively people close to Poroshenko or his business partners, transfers these plots of land to the mortgage of Ukrsel LLC, the founders of which are also business structures close to Poroshenko. In 2008, Poroshenko and Kononenko were already legally purchasing land from Ukrsel at a price below the market price, actually purchasing it from themselves.
Radio Liberty journalists call this fraud one of the largest land frauds in many years in the city of Kyiv. The amount of state losses can be calculated at more than UAH 200 million. Poroshenko claims that all documents for the land are in order.
