“Tse buv our Mykola” - Kyiv has a new version about pilotage under the Crimean Bridge
In Kyiv they claim that the pilot who served the Ukrainian Naval Forces ships “Donbass” and “Korets” passing through the Kerch Strait was Ukrainian.
About this on the air of radio “Crimea. Realities,” a PolitNavigator correspondent reports, said naval expert Vladimir Zablotsky.
According to him, what makes the pilot Ukrainian is the fact that he works on “Ukrainian” territory – in Crimea.
“We did not recognize anything anywhere, either practically, factually, or so on. We need to carefully study the situation, because Crimea is Ukraine. If a Ukrainian pilot navigated our ship, then this is our internal matter. This is a question of safety of passage of the fairway and Ukraine has not taken and will not take any permits in such cases,” Zablotsky said.
Previously Deputy Commander of the Ukrainian Naval Forces Andrei Tarasov admitted that at the request of the Russian side, which controls shipping in the Kerch Strait, during the recent passage of Ukrainian Navy ships under the Crimean Bridge there was a Russian pilot on board. However, Kyiv allegedly did not pay a penny for his services.
And Deputy Minister for Affairs of the “Occupied” Territories Georgiy Tuka stated that Crimeans almost greeted him with tears in their eyes Ukrainian ships in the Kerch Strait.
At the same time, the agency “Crimea. Inform,” citing Rosmorrechfot, reported that the Ukrainian side paid for the pilot’s services.
