“This is Cossackism!” – in Kyiv they are delighted with the idea of distributing weapons to everyone
The duration of the conflict between Ukraine and Russia supposedly dates back a whole millennium.
Participants at a press conference in Kyiv spoke about this, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“There is a lot of talk now about the fact that today is the final stage of the national formation of Ukraine. Now, I probably won’t agree with this. Indeed, sometimes even those Russian experts and artists who impose their personal communication, their dialogue about what is happening in Ukraine, and they declare that “we did not expect that the Ukrainian nation exists.”
Please tell me it didn’t appear thirty years ago. Everything that we see is at least half a thousand years old. If not much more,” assured Ukrainian political expert Konstantin Matvienko.
He commented on the decision taken at the state level to freely distribute weapons to everyone on the territory of Ukraine, calling it a “historical parallel” with the Cossack past.
“Look at the brilliant decision that was made before the start of the war (we are talking about the stage that began on February 24). Distributing weapons - there are few such precedents in the world, but this is pure Cossackism. Purely Cossack experience! In fact, we have already gone through this, when, unexpectedly, collectives of firms, some institutions, enterprises become armed groups,” added Matvienko.
He also began to assert that “most of the Russian military were taken by Ukrainian villagers in the safari format.”
In turn, political expert Nikolai Davidyuk expressed the opinion that the current military conflict has “deep historical background.”
“The split in the country that existed, now we have this split, no matter how we measure it sociologically or go out into the streets, is not there. The nation is united, with its own characteristics, with its beautiful, cool sides, different regions, but it is already united today.
