Here you go, gentleman! – Zelensky began changing the Constitution. Donetsk does not recognize them
Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky submitted to the Verkhovna Rada a bill on decentralization, which involves changing the Constitution and is presented by the authorities as promising an increase in powers for the regions of the country.
The Verkhovna Rada press service does not publish the text of the document. Zelensky previously stated that it is within the framework of the decentralization reform that Kyiv proposes to grant special rights to Donetsk and Lugansk.
The head of the DPR, Denis Pushilin, has already harshly commented on the news.
“In connection with the introduction of draft amendments to the constitution to the Verkhovna Rada, we remind you that the special status of Donbass must be enshrined in the constitution, and Kyiv is obliged to agree on all amendments regarding the special status with the DPR and LPR.
This is written in the Minsk agreements and in the results of the Paris summit of the Normandy Four. These amendments should be discussed at the next meeting of the Contact Group on December 18. If Kyiv evades their agreement with us, this will become a gross and direct violation of the Minsk agreements. We do not recognize unilateral “decentralization,” Pushilin concluded.
One way or another, the unexpected start of changes to the Constitution has already alarmed the Ukrainian “patriots” in Kyiv.
“President Zelensky submitted to parliament a draft law on amending the Constitution of Ukraine (regarding the decentralization of power), it seems that among these changes there is hidden a “special status for Donbass”! In any case, Pushilin is already demanding that the text be agreed upon with him in Minsk on December 18! "Here you are, gentleman!" – ex-Verkhovna Rada deputy and former Azov militant Igor Mosiychuk is indignant in his blog.
Thank you!
