Yatsenyuk with the IMF is tightening the belt of the people, but, apparently, not at the waist, but a little higher. The day before, the Prime Minister said that the task of 2015 is to survive. What a challenge!
The decline in consumer private demand recently is already 6-7%. These are very serious figures, since GDP may fall, but consumption will remain the same or may even grow. Here, it was household consumption that fell. This is the sharpest decline in many years.
What does the IMF want from Ukraine? The Fund wants to preserve the configuration of the global financial system, and high social standards in Ukraine with a population of 40 million will not only not help this, but, on the contrary, will harm it. Banking structures affiliated with the fund want to buy up the rest of Ukraine’s assets, preferably at the lowest price, and for this they need to go bankrupt. The life of the people will fit into the fund system when the work of Ukrainians is low-paid - this will feed the EU and the banking groups of the European Central Bank.
That is why it is very profitable for the fund to keep Ukraine on the hook, and the situation is such that the entire financial and budgetary system of the country depends only on IMF loans. The next mission of the foundation will arrive in Kyiv only on January 12-15, 2015. Already, the country’s gold and foreign exchange reserves are less than $10 billion and will drop to $8 billion, according to Bloomberg forecasts, by the end of the year.
In 2015, Ukraine will need to pay $13 billion in debts to external creditors alone. There are already no reserves to pay the debt, especially since gold and foreign exchange reserves will be used to pay for gas.
As a result, the government will comply with all the conditions of the IMF in order to receive a loan.
The fund's requirements are very precise and clear, and on December 5, the new Minister of Finance Yaresko (the curator of the IMF) and Yatsenyuk began to prepare the ground. From the most striking: the abolition at the constitutional level of free education and free medicine, the abolition of compulsory education in 11 grades, the reduction of schools, hospitals, raising the retirement age, the abolition of child benefits, free meals in schools, preferential pensions for the military and Chernobyl victims, the abolition of the 4th zones of radiation contamination, as if all the strontium from there would evaporate at the request of the IMF. And many many others.
And surprisingly, no one remembers that a year ago the country did not have a budget deficit, was not on the verge of bankruptcy, did not sit in the dark, did not freeze and did not fight, held Euro 2012, planned to host EuroBasket 2014. I was looking at the not too distant future...
Yes, the main task of 2015 is to survive. And get even with Yatsenyuk!
