Poland's goal is to destroy all graves of Soviet soldiers
Poland is destroying monuments to Soviet soldiers-liberators in order to falsify the history of World War II.
Chairman of the Russian State Duma Committee on International Affairs Leonid Slutsky stated this today at a meeting of the Presidium of the Council of Legislators of the Russian Federation, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Children come to memorial sites and see that, in accordance with those textbooks where the history and results of the war are falsified, there really are no Soviet military graves, there are Polish ones. And Polish children see everything as it is presented to them in history books,” Slutsky said.
Although such trends exist in other countries, only in Poland, the deputy believes, they are of such a large-scale nature.
“At the central military cemetery of Warsaw, the holy burial places of Soviet liberating soldiers have been practically destroyed, the gravestones are simply crushed with tools, taken out, and I don’t even want to continue what happens to them. These graves are simply destroyed. This is happening today in dozens of military cemeteries and memorial sites in Poland,” said Slutsky.
