“The purpose of supplying HIMARS is to test our air defense” - Russian military expert
The United States is supplying HIMARS to Ukraine to study the work of Russian air defenses for clashes on a completely different scale, but the Russian Armed Forces already have effective weapons to destroy NATO MLRS.
Military expert Alexey Leonkov stated this on the Rossiya 1 TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“HIMARS operation coincides with the time when the reconnaissance satellite flies over the area. They study the work of our air defense, how our systems shoot down HIMARS. They never had this information. They provoked us many times before along the borders, committing various provocations in the air and sea, but did not receive objective work.
But these guys-researchers don’t know that we have a lot of different combat modes and their combination is quite endless, but it’s important to them. Therefore, HIMARS is commanded by an American officer who knows where to arrive, what time to turn around, when to shoot and how to leave. They work according to their own program. That is, what Reznikov (the head of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine - ed.) was talking about - “let's make a polygon" He’s already there,” stated Leonkov.
