The price of gas for Ukrainian consumers will not fall – this is an optimistic forecast
The fall in gas prices in Europe will not reduce the amount in payments of Ukrainian consumers.
In the next heating season they will have to pay, at best, no less than in the past.
But there is also a pessimistic forecast.
Energy expert Dmitry Marunich stated this on the NEWSONE TV channel, PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“We are tied to import parity. As soon as gas becomes more expensive on European exchanges (which is already happening), in a month it will become more expensive here, in Ukrainians’ bills.
Therefore, with an optimistic forecast, if transit continues from January 1, then we will get about 8,5 UAH per cubic meter. next heating season. This is the level of last season.
With a pessimistic forecast, the situation could be much sadder. It could be 11 or 12 or whatever. Every subsequent month we calculate (the tariff) on the basis of the previous month,” Marunich explained.
