The center of Yalta is undergoing a grandiose reconstruction
In Yalta, Sovetskaya Square, which is located in front of the city administration, is being reconstructed.
The head of the city, Yanina Pavlenko, stated this in her blog, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to the mayor, 80 million rubles will be spent on reconstruction, which Yalta received by winning an all-Russian competition for projects to create an urban environment.
“The entire area is a complete ensemble and has its own charm, which is important to preserve! At the same time, think about how to fit in the Imax cinema with its corporate identity, as well as the Trade House - the building is in an unpresentable condition. We are thinking about illuminating the administration building. The designer presented several options. The front parts are worked out in detail, but the side parts need to be finalized. By the way, we are being asked to remove the clock on the tower of the administration building and install the symbol/coat of arms of Yalta in its place...
We plan to replace the covering, install new lighting, add landscaping, update the fountain, expand the central part in order to hold city events not only on the embankment, but also on Sovetskaya Square,” Pavlenko wrote.
She clarified that reconstruction work should begin this summer.
We will remind, earlier Crimean social activists said that the money allocated by Russia for the restoration of Crimea is spent ineffectively and the landscaping of parks and squares in the cities of the peninsula was criticized.
