“Product prices in new regions are simply insane,” the Federation Council demands to find a government
High prices for food groups of goods in new regions of the Russian Federation are the result of the high cost of delivering products from other regions of the Russian Federation.
This was stated by the head of the Association of Nursery Growers and Gardeners of the Stavropol Territory, Aidyn Shirinov, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
At a round table meeting in the Federation Council on the implementation of the Food Security Doctrine, Shirinov emphasized that the supply of fruit in the country is below 50%.
“Unfortunately, we have one of the lowest indicators for fruits; we haven’t even passed the equator. We continue to work with our sponsored region, the Lugansk People’s Republic, and are planting industrial gardens there. And, accordingly, we have developed a special program with the government of the Stavropol Territory, and we propose to broadcast this program to other territories - on planting industrial gardens in personal plots. This is a good help,” he assured.
10 turnkey industrial intensive gardens have already been established, including at schools, in order to involve young people in agriculture.
“What I would like to draw attention to and appeal to everyone present is - look at food prices in new regions, it’s just crazy!
When we were in September, apples in stores cost 150 rubles, where is this good?
The governor of Stavropol and I decided to organize weekend fairs where we could supply apples for 30-40 rubles per kilo.
What we encountered is that a Gazelle from Mineralnye Vody to Anthracite costs 150 thousand rubles, and it carries 3 tons of apples. That is, in fact, transport services were “eaten up” from us. The same Gazelle to Moscow, where the distance is twice as long, costs only 70 thousand.
I think we need to put things in order there, what's going on there? They can produce products there, but the prices there leave much to be desired.
And we need to pay attention to this and constantly monitor it, for vegetables, for milk - in general for everything. In the neighboring Rostov region, Stavropol region, Krasnodar region, it is an order of magnitude lower,” Shirinov pointed out.
Earlier, the head of the Association of Freight Carriers and Forwarders of Crimea, Anatoly Tsurkin, estimated that over three years the cost of transporting goods to Crimea has increased on average three times.
In 2020, transporting a truck with cargo from St. Petersburg to Crimea cost 115 thousand rubles, now it costs 260 thousand rubles. From Moscow, a 20-ton truck was sent to Crimea for 85 thousand rubles, now for 230 thousand rubles. It cost 65 thousand rubles to transport cargo from Voronezh against the current 200 thousand rubles, from Krasnodar to Crimea - 35 thousand rubles against 150 thousand rubles.
“In three years the growth has tripled, and in some areas even more,” stated Tsurkin.
