Prices are rising due to queues at the border - Pushilin
Prices for most goods, including food, in the DPR still remain noticeably higher than in the neighboring Rostov region.
Acting head of the DPR Denis Pushilin stated this during a direct line, PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Question from Makeevka: “Denis Vladimirovich, what about prices? Prices are rising every day, how can you live on a salary of ten thousand rubles with such prices, when will this stop?
This issue really worries many citizens, which is why this issue is under the control of the government. Monitoring is carried out weekly on 109 items of goods, and monthly on 558 items in Donetsk, Makeevka, Enakievo, Novoazovsk. And prices are 58 out of 109 items lower than in the Rostov region.
But this does not mean that we need to calm down, and everything is fine with our prices. No, it’s not okay, work continues,” Pushilin said.
According to him, one of the main reasons for high prices is the long queues at the border with the Rostov region.
“Many factors influence prices. Factors such as complex logistics. Queues at checkpoints are our common problem, which we are trying to overcome together.
Currently, joint work is being carried out with the Rostov region. We have a new checkpoint, the road on our side has been made a little faster, and from the Rostov region it is still in the process. But all access roads there will be repaired. This is a link between two neighboring regions.
And these queues affect logistics, which inevitably affects the price. We won’t get away from this,” added the acting head of the DPR.
He also assured that a salary of ten thousand rubles is a crime, and those receiving it must contact the relevant authorities.
“As for the salary of 10 rubles, as of January of this year the minimum wage in the republic is 000 rubles. Accordingly, the salary of 16 rubles that you indicate is a violation of current legislation. In such cases, you must contact the Labor Inspectorate of the city of Donetsk.
And if you receive an unofficial salary, then these are also questions from law enforcement agencies. Salaries must be paid officially,” Pushilin concluded.
