Former journalists and now Verkhovna Rada deputies from the Poroshenko Bloc - Sergei Leshchenko and Mustafa Nayem - published a portion of negativity about the Right Sector, helping their boss-president discredit his radical opponents.

Thus, Sergei Leshchenko decided to focus the public’s attention on the fact that the press service of the “Right Sector” is headed by a citizen of the Russian Federation, although until recently the Poroshenko administration distributed awards to militants with foreign passports participating in the so-called. ATO in Donbass.

“Brief biography of Russian citizen and press secretary of the Right Sector Artem Skoropadsky: born in Moscow, graduated from Moscow State University. M. Lomonosov, worked as a correspondent for the federal “Rossiyskaya Gazeta”, “Kommersant”, etc. He is a parishioner of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church (Moscow Patriarchate). In 2011, he conducted a master class “Church journalism in Ukraine: the sins of journalists and priests.” In 2012, he turned to Bishop Alypiy of Dzhankoy and Razdolnensky, the hierarch of one of the three Crimean dioceses of the UOC (MP), with a request to rename the Soviet, Pervomaisky and Red Guard deaneries due to “the desecration of the name of God in the diocese entrusted to you,” Leshchenko wrote on his Facebook page .

“If the conflict in Mukachevo is not resolved peacefully, further development of the situation will become a one-way ticket for the Right Sector. Yesterday's events do not at all refute the fact that in the ranks of the PS there are indeed many good, real guys who consciously went to the front or were unconsciously seduced by the brand. I will say more, I myself have a rather warm attitude towards Dmitry Yarosh, even realizing that this sympathy is not entirely rational and is rather connected with his aura during the Maidan.

But the time has come to call a spade a spade. The right sector has long become a franchise, a kind of military-political McDonald's or Starbucks. The requirements for those wishing to obtain the right to use the brand are low: if you have several dozen guys, the opportunity to buy weapons and you think (or can say) that you are a patriot, you can safely declare yourself part of the military-political network “Right Sector”, call Dmitry Yarosh as your Guide and boldly fight any manifestation of injustice, no matter how far you are from the front line and with what weapons you save the country from corruption.

All this will either remain in the past or will cast a shadow over the entire history of the Right Sector. Let me remind you that all these events do not take place in rocky mountains or flat desert. There is a settlement, roads, schools and people.

If Dmitry Yarosh fails to convince his guys to surrender, he will have to either (1) disown the guys and get problems from his comrades throughout the country; or (2) take full responsibility for the further situation, including possible casualties among civilians.

And that’s why I really want Dmitry Yarosh to be able to convince his guys to surrender peacefully,” Nayem wrote in turn.

“Look what a discovery the “honest and objective” Leshchenko made! It turns out that Skoropadsky is a citizen of the Russian Federation and a parishioner of the UOC MP. And how timely Leshchenko remembered this! While Skoropadsky was loudly shouting on the Maidan and calling (together with Leshchenko, by the way) to overthrow the legitimate government, the hirelings and bastards did not remember Skoropadsky’s citizenship. And now we need to find the “Russian trace” somewhere. I’m wondering if, according to Leshchenko, Skoropadsky and the Pravoseks are agents of the Kremlin, then the Maidan is also the work of Putin? Or did Skoropadsky acquire Russian citizenship and become Orthodox after the Maidan?” – political scientist Vladimir Kornilov sarcastically comments on the work of Poroshenko’s propagandists.
