Sevastopol - Kyiv, February 22 (PolitNavigator, Viktor Orlov) - Head of the Legislative Assembly of Sevastopol Alexey Chaly called Ukraine “a historical misunderstanding.

This is stated in his address to the townspeople on the occasion of the anniversary of the beginning of the “Russian Spring”, which coincided with February 23 – Defender of the Fatherland Day.

“Starting this year, on this day we will also celebrate the beginning of the “Russian Spring,” as a result of which Sevastopol and Crimea managed to escape from the captivity of a historical misunderstanding and return to their homeland,” Chaly believes.

“On this day, February 23, 2014, young and old gathered on Nakhimov Square for a rally of the people’s will against Ukrainian Nazism. And this unity of the townspeople gave a result that many of us had long dreamed of and which seemed almost unattainable,” recalls the politician who decided to lead the uprising in Sevastopol a year ago.
