Chaly will appeal to the prosecutor if Menyailo does not fire Eremeev

Menyailo refers to a Constitutional Court ruling from 1996, which left the issue of dismissal of the deputy head of the Altai Territory to the head of the region, despite the lack of confidence expressed by parliament. At the same time, the 1999 federal law “On the general principles of organization of legislative and executive bodies of state power of the constituent entities of the Russian Federation” allows legislators to express no confidence in the heads of executive bodies.

Chaly believes that after the adoption of the federal law, the resolution of the Constitutional Court became legally void.

As Kommersant’s source in the Sevastopol government stated, Eremeev currently continues to work, despite the vote of no confidence. According to Menyailo, he has already prepared an appeal to the Constitutional Court “about the competence of the Legislative Assembly to pass a vote of no confidence in his deputy and a violation of the regulations.” Menyailo points out that the meeting of the legislative assembly, at which Eremeyev was given no confidence, was held in the absence of the deputy governor.
