Chaly canceled the Maidan for the sake of a deal with the new governor of Sevastopol
Hero of the Russian Spring, Alexey Chaly, decided to cancel all protests in Sevastopol, which were planned by members of his team, who were not allowed due to violations in collecting signatures for the September elections to the legislative assembly. The reason is that Chaly agreed to cooperate with the new acting. Governor Mikhail Razvozzhaev (this was initially the case with the previous two leaders of the city).
Russian publicist Maxim Kalashnikov stated this on Roy TV, PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“The protest rally in Sevastopol, where all non-parliamentary parties were swept out of the elections for ridiculous reasons, will not take place. Alexey Mikhailovich Chaly, the soul of many of these non-parliamentary parties, agreed with the acting. Governor Razvazhaev, spoke on his resource “Outpost”, sings hosannas to him, and is ready to provide him with a media center for future gubernatorial elections. So, unfortunately, hopes for Sevastopol were not justified,” Kalashnikov said.
A few days earlier, he published an open appeal to Chalom
“We understand what contradictions are tearing apart the team of Alesei Mikhailovich Chaly. In Sevastopol, besides the clumsy party, there is only one force - Chaly. I want to contact him. You now have two options. First: swallow what they did with this farcical election. But then you will finally go into oblivion as a politician if you endure it. The second option is to follow the principle, coordinate a rally and withdraw all representatives of non-parliamentary parties,” Kalashnikov said.
He proposed adding one more step to this protest.
“It’s no secret that the first places on the United Russia list are occupied by your people. Urge them to withdraw their candidacies in order to achieve an even greater propaganda effect - to delegitimize these elections,” the writer suggested.
