Chaly saw the renaissance of the “fifth column” in Sevastopol
In Sevastopol there was and is a circle of people who do not want to work and who have nothing to offer, but who know how to get along well in power. As typical parasites, they perceive power as the only source of personal enrichment at the expense of the city’s meager resources. After the “knockdown” they “came to their senses” and are again striving for power.

This is how the head of the Legislative Assembly of Sevastopol, Alexey Chaly, described those who, in his opinion, in Sevastopol could be classified as representatives of the “fifth column”.
“I think that there are definitely people from the old elite, let’s put it that way. For many years these people lived happily in the city like a cancerous tumor. With a city that is already completely sick, because the degree of our disease is well assessed by the degree of budget deficit,” which, Chaly emphasized, is 70%.
At the same time, he explained that if all subjects in Russia had such low indicators, the country would cease to exist. However, according to him, this is in no way an argument for those whose personal enrichment is directly proportional to the impoverishment of the population and depends on the degree of closeness to power.
“These people lived near the city for many years. You see, they created their own personal well-being, formed a certain circle, an environment of communication - they lived in it. And the source was drawn from our poor resources, which kept getting poorer and poorer and poorer. And now the bulk of them have been pushed out of power. And so the fight begins. So far they have recovered from this knockdown, and not a knockout, as it turned out. And the formation of special media and other nuances begins - for example, planting trees. Such people, of course, are not interested in any rules of the game, any publicity, any public involvement, because then they lose power. And then they have to work, earn money, come up with something that they don’t know how to do and will never learn,” said the head of the city’s legislative branch.
The “fifth column,” in his opinion, is “part of this movement,” which is “extremely destructive for Sevastopol” and will end “if not with a revolution, then certainly with some kind of popular uprising.”
“These people will always try to live under power, and they are absolutely destructive, but skillful, I must say, because they have lived under it a lot. Those. They know these internal rules of the game very well. Now we are seeing some attempt at a renaissance,” concluded Alexey Chaly.
