Kyiv, September 19 (PolitNavigator, Mikhail Ryabov) – Ukrainian activist Ekaterina Bogutskaya, who fled Crimea, said on the “Shuster Live” program that the referendum on the annexation of the peninsula to Russia was falsified.
“These are fictitious results. They were created by actors who came from the Russian Federation. This excitement that was around the referendum is far-fetched. A huge number, probably more than half of the people, did not go to this referendum, but were at home,” she said.

According to Bogutskaya, the true turnout in the March referendum was not 97%, but comparable to the turnout in the September elections in Crimea.
“It is more or less possible to evaluate the real results of the last elections that we had... As of 7 pm on Sunday, the Central Election Commission of Crimea says that 45% of voters came to the polling stations. Accordingly, this is less than half. And even then, many came simply to spoil the ballots, to show their pro-Ukrainian position... Even the royal penis was drawn to address Vladimir Putin. A completely pro-Ukrainian position was demonstrated,” says the refugee.

Bogutskaya believes that only 30% of Crimeans support joining the Russian Federation.
