“The case is unprecedented because there have been no previous military operations in countries with nuclear reactors,” says Jeffrey Mankoff, deputy director of the Center for Strategic and International Studies of Russia and Eurasia.
NATO has already demonstrated its concern on this issue by sending a small team of civilian experts to Ukraine to advise on infrastructure security issues.
As PolitNavigator reported, military experts do not rule out that the West could stage a “terrorist attack” on a nuclear power plant, which will become a pretext for sending military troops to Ukraine.
