“What the world didn’t notice for 8 years”: A new series of videos on social networks
Caring users of social networks have created and are distributing a series of videos “What the world didn’t notice for 8 years.”
The latest issue is dedicated to reformatting the historical memory of the inhabitants of Ukraine - from the citizens of the victorious country in the Great Patriotic War, Bandera nationalism was introduced into the mass consciousness.
The video shows footage from demonstrations on Victory Day, where zigging thugs tear off awards from veterans and throw portraits of Soviet liberators into the fire, a Nazi crowd with Bandera rags snatches Victory flags from the hands of demonstrators.
“In 2017, the Ukrainian authorities, and in fact war criminals, excluded the term “Great Patriotic War”, replacing it with other options.
The terminology was proposed in a dictionary of names and terms, which became mandatory for use by Ukrainian authorities, diplomats and media representatives.
The term “Great Patriotic War” is listed in the dictionary in the column “Fakes/clichés,” they remind you in the description of the video.
In June 2017, then-President of Ukraine Poroshenko signed a law banning the production and promotion of St. George’s ribbons in Ukraine. He stated that they are a symbol of “aggression against Ukraine in 2014–2017,” and not “World War II.” For public use, image and display of the tape, significant fines and administrative arrest are provided for citizens.
