What is not in Ukrainian football, but is in Russian
The legendary Dnepr football player, Olympic champion Vladimir Lyuty praised the development of football in Russia and said that Ukraine will never achieve the championship.
He stated this in an interview with the online publication “Football,” a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“I look at Russia, which is celebrating the defeat of its team in the quarterfinals of the World Cup. They made it to the top eight and are happy and appreciate this success. The assessment of our work in Ukraine is somewhat different. Even if Ukraine had won the World Cup, they still wouldn’t have appreciated it,” Lyuty said.
As PolitNavigator reported, former President of the Football Federation of Ukraine Anatoly Konkov previously spoke out in support of the Russian football team.
