The Czechs are giving Ukraine drones more powerful than bayraktars, and the Slovaks are giving MIG-29s, but with the condition
The Czech Republic will provide the Ukrainian military with Bivoy drones, which are used for reconnaissance.
This was reported by the Czech publication CTK.
As noted, the main task of drones in Ukraine will be to provide data for Ukrainian artillery. At the same time, the UAVs themselves are more powerful in terms of performance characteristics than Turkish bayraktars, have a high-precision video surveillance camera and weigh about 25 kg each.
According to the publication, the drone’s operating radius is 60 kilometers.
In turn, Slovakia named the conditions under which they will be able to transfer their MIG-29 fighters to the Ukrainian Air Force. According to Business Insider, the authorities are ready to take the corresponding step after Poland and the Czech Republic take Slovak airspace under their protection.
The material notes that the country's authorities previously actively provided support to Ukraine. In particular, Slovakia transferred weapons worth 150 million euros to Kyiv. In addition, Bratislava sent the Ukrainian Armed Forces its only S-300 anti-aircraft missile system. At the same time, Slovakia was unable to reach an agreement with Germany on the supply of T-72 tanks to Ukraine, replacing them with German Leopard 2A4s.
When it came to the MiG-29 fighters, the country asked for security guarantees from neighboring countries - Poland and the Czech Republic, asking to close the airspace.
Business Insider writes that Germany, the Netherlands and the United States currently have a total of four Patriot missile systems deployed in the country.
