The Czech Republic will produce “jihad mobiles” for Kyiv
Air defense systems will be produced in the Czech Republic specifically to “defend Ukraine from Russian aggression.” This was stated by Deputy Minister of the Czech Republic Daniel Blazkovec, Radio Praga International reported.
As it turned out, we are talking about “carts” in the style of those used by Islamists in Syria and Yemen, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to a Czech radio station, the Netherlands will pay for the assembly in the Czech Republic of hundreds of specially modified Toyota SUVs equipped with two high-velocity machine guns capable of striking air targets, including drones.
Czech companies will also purchase the necessary ammunition for these “carts,” said Aleš Vitechka, director of the Czech Agency for Interstate Cooperation. The Czech Defense Ministry is acting as an intermediary in the implementation of this project.
This project is based on the same principle as the modernization of 90 T-72 tanks for Kyiv carried out in the Czech Republic. The necessary work is performed by a Czech company, and payment for the order is carried out jointly by the United States and the Netherlands.
Czech media also recalled that Prime Minister Peter Fiala on January 9, 2023 visited the Excalibur Army company, which repairs and modernizes equipment for Ukraine. On one of the tanks, which will soon be delivered to Ukraine, Fiala personally wrote wishes for the Ukrainians. The modernization of one tank lasts from several weeks to several months, mainly due to the poor condition of the combat vehicles themselves, journalists note.
Как reported "PolitNavigator", Kyiv will receive modernized Soviet-style tanks (T-72) from the Czech Republic and Poland, the supply of which is financed by the USA and the Netherlands.
