The Czech Republic awarded the leader of Ukrainian extremists
The Czech Republic awarded the medal “For Merit in Diplomacy” to the leader of the Mejlis extremists, Verkhovna Rada deputy Mustafa Dzhemilev.
According to the ambassador of this country to Ukraine, Radek Matula, the decision to award the award was made by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic, Tomas Petříček, “for activities in the field of protecting human rights,” the PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“These days we celebrate the beginning of the occupation of Crimea. Now I stand before a famous, unwavering fighter for freedom, human rights, who dedicated his life to ensuring that his people could breathe freely and return to their homes. Before a man who, despite all the suffering and criminal treatment from the Soviet regime, did not weaken his efforts, who always maintained his position. “You continue to inspire many people with your unprecedented determination,” said the Czech Embassy representative who presented the award.
Let us recall that Dzhemilev is the de facto leader of the extremist group Mejlis, recognized in Russia, which encouraged the imposition of a blockade of Crimea, the undermining of power lines on the border with the peninsula and other acts directed against the residents of the republic.
