Poroshenko's man received the largest gas production license in Ukraine
The main owner of one of the largest recipients of gas production licenses in Ukraine, Arkona Gas-Energy LLC, became Oleg Olkhovoy, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
This is stated in the Unified State Register of Legal Entities, reports the publication “Nashi Groshi”.
Olkhov received 49,5% of the company’s authorized capital, previously owned by the offshore Ashburi Universal (Belize).
Oleg Olkhovoy is registered as the owner of a number of legal entities, mainly specializing in retail trade (Retailers Group LLC in Kharkov, Retail Inc. LLC in Chernivtsi, Rishon DF LLC in Vinnitsa, New Style for Life LLC in Kiev).
At the same time, Olkhovoy was previously the director of the Monitor Sports and Fitness Complex LLC, the official beneficiaries of which are the President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko and the people’s deputy from the BPP Igor Kononenko. This company is registered at st. Elektrikov, 29a, where the famous sports and entertainment club “5th Element” is located.
Olkhovoy was mentioned in the media as the director of “5 Element” in 2004, when this sports club was just starting to work. Kompanion magazine called him a co-owner of the Strike and Vitamin bowling clubs.
In 2005, the chairman of the supervisory board of “5 Elements” was Igor Kononenko, who talked about $20 million in investments in the sports club, and Olkhova at that time, according to “Youcontrol”, although he resigned as director of “Monitor”, was mentioned in the media in as "project manager" 5th element ".
In addition to Olkhovoy, a 5% share in the authorized capital of Arkona Gas-Energy is owned by Alexey Grebenchenko, who, according to the Schemes program, in the early 2000s worked at OJSC Ukroptkulttovary, of which he was and still is the ultimate beneficial owner Petro Poroshenko remains.
Arkona Gas-Energy LLC was founded after the election of Petro Poroshenko as President of Ukraine in November 2014.
This “Arkona” became the only one for which the Poltava Regional Council, two years after the Maidan, approved the issuance of a special permit on the principle of approbation, when a company can obtain a special permit without an auction, but only on the basis of purchased geological exploration information.
In March 2018, NABU announced the opening of criminal proceedings about a possible violation of the law by officials of the State Geonadr when issuing a special permit to Arkona Gas-Energy for the use of the Svistunkivsko-Chervonolutskoye field.
After this, it became known that the Prosecutor General’s Office tried to seize the original documents from Arkona in a case that interested NABU. This case at the GPU is being conducted by the Department for Investigation of Particularly Important Cases in the Sphere of Economics, headed by Vladimir Gutsulyak. The media called this department controlled by Igor Kononenko.
Also, the Prosecutor General’s Office recently failed to appeal in court the legality of issuing Arkona Gas-Energy a special permit for a 20-year use of the Svistunkivsko-Chervonolutskoye field in the Poltava region.
