How Lithuania expects to compensate for the break in economic relations with Russia
Lithuania hopes to make money from its demarches against Russia and attracting new NATO troops to the country.
Kaliningrad political scientist Alexander Nosovich stated this on the YouTube channel “Soloviev.live,” a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“This is how they understand the economy and investment in Lithuania. We see that Lithuania only loses by canceling transit. But, from the point of view of a Lithuanian farm, everything is logical. They are increasing NATO's presence. This requires appropriate infrastructure. Lithuania itself does not have the money for this. Accordingly, NATO members must build everything for themselves: roads, bridges, residential areas. Trade will develop and so on. And the security of Lithuania is supposedly increasing.
From Lithuania's point of view, the NATO members themselves will be in the position of hostages. If Russia attacks, the United States will not be able to turn a blind eye to it and will be forced to intervene,” Nosovich said.
