“Why is Serbia worse than Ukraine?” – Vucic spoke about aggression from NATO
When condemning the violation of the territorial integrity of Ukraine, Western countries must remember that the first European country against which aggression was committed was Serbia.
Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic stated this while speaking at the UN General Assembly, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
Vucic stressed that his country was subjected to foreign aggression, despite the fact that there was no UN approval, and Serbia itself did not pose a threat to its neighbors.
“Many people say that this is the first conflict on the European continent since the Second World War. But the truth is that the territorial integrity of a European country, Serbia, was violated, and Serbia did not attack anyone, no other sovereign country, few people talk about this,” the Serbian president said.
“I would like to ask a question. Leaders of many countries, answer the question: what is the difference between the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine and Serbia? In the second case, there was a serious, flagrant violation, and you recognized it internationally and gave it legitimacy, at least some of you. No one has given a rational answer to this question.
Serbia has never entered the territory of another state, not even once. We did not create a threat to the territorial integrity of another state. Therefore, we did not deserve this aggression in 1999, which occurred. However, this did not prevent 19 wealthy sovereign NATO member countries from attacking our country, undermining sovereignty, without a UN agreement,” Vucic said.
