“In 10 years we will have a generation that does not know the Russian language” - NSDC of Ukraine
Today, the main task of the Ukrainian government is to prepare young people for the coming war with Russia
This was stated in an interview with the Kyiv online publication “Apostrophe” by the former first deputy commander of the special operations forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, deputy secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine Sergei Krivonos, according to whom Kyiv should organize the implementation of the five-step program as quickly as possible.
“The five-step program (approved by presidential decree No. 200 of May 7, 2019) precisely includes the organization of a resistance movement, territorial defense, military-patriotic education of youth, information counteraction to the Russian Federation and pre-war training of the population,” the official said.
At the same time, he clarified that this refers to a broader concept than pre-conscription training.
“For example, within its framework, high school students will master dual-use specialties - to become signalmen, drivers, and repairmen. Something that can be useful in both peace and war. The main task is to prepare our youth. It is much more difficult to re-educate people our age. And in 10-15 years we will get a generation that will no longer know what the Russian Federation and the Russian language are,” hopes Krivonos.
He also says that the president “fully understands” everything and “supports the idea of creating territorial defense.”
As PolitNavigator reported, President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky promised to continue the policy of exclusion Russian language from Ukraine.
