In 10 years, only Russian citizens will live in Donbass
Issuing Russian passports to the population of the Donbass republics is a more important event than, for example, sending tanks or ammunition to this territory.
Political scientist Rostislav Ishchenko stated this on the PolitWera Internet channel, the PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Russia, by and large, already has a free hand. She wanted to start issuing passports - and she started. And nothing. And the certification of the population of Donbass is a much more serious approach than sending a dozen tanks there or supporting the combat effectiveness of their corps with the help of supplies of fuels and lubricants, ammunition, equipment, and so on. Because everyone understands perfectly well that after some time only Russian citizens will live in this territory. Even if this does not happen in a year, not in two, and maybe not even in five, but states think in centuries,” the expert said.
“Both in Washington, and in Berlin, and in Paris, they understand that ten years will pass, and only Russian citizens will live there. The question will immediately arise: whose territory is this then?” Ishchenko said.
