“In 30 years, Russia will become less white.” Political scientist calls for Russification of migrants
The ethnic composition of Russia will change, including due to migrants, and therefore they should be forced to study the Russian language.
Moscow political scientist Ekaterina Shulman speaks about this, the PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to her, statistics from the Ministry of Internal Affairs confirm that migrants do not commit crimes more than other citizens of the Russian Federation
“People come to work, they are afraid of everything, they are quite powerless, therefore, on the contrary, they are less prone to crime than the locals. There are fears that visitors are, as they say, outgrowing the locals, that their birth rate is higher, so in 30 years Russia will become, roughly speaking, less “white.” Well, here I have to say: this is almost inevitable. This can only be stopped by such tough anti-migration measures that our economy cannot handle,” the expert believes.
She also says that the government must ensure that migration processes take place on its terms.
You cannot stamp your foot and say: stop migration, let us only have blue-eyed blonds. Well, this will not happen, even if we assume that for some reason we approve of this schizoid policy. So we will have “ethnic diversity”, nothing can be done about it, we have to live and work with it. Well, for example, aggressively teach everyone the Russian language, which would be extremely useful. Examinations should be introduced at the entrance to the country, and more time should be given to the Russian language in schools and universities,” concluded Shulman.
