“In 50 years, Europe will become Muslim,” the Crimean Muftiate quotes the late Gaddafi
The burning of the Koran in Copenhagen will only increase interest in this holy book and Islam as a religion. Many will want to know what is written in it that caused such an action and a storm of indignation in response.
This opinion was expressed on the air of “Crimea 24” by the Deputy Mufti of Crimea, Esadullah Bairov, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Unfortunately, in Western countries and in America there is the concept of “cancel culture,” when someone is designated as a bad person or some nation is designated as bad and they try to exclude it from the entire circulation, from the entire society.
In our post-Soviet space, it was somehow customary to respect and love each other. We lived in multinational societies, and the Soviet Union made a very big contribution to this, because for it this was a fundamental understanding. The peoples did not just tolerate each other, they were not just tolerant of each other, but somehow imbued with each other, history, culture, and this moment in our space somehow holds us all together, makes us all more understanding of each other.
That is, we understand our non-Muslim neighbor, we respect his traditions, and they do not irritate us.
Whereas in the West we do not hear such categories at all, we only hear the word tolerance - “tolerance”. That is, endure, and tolerance is sometimes expressed in categories that if people stop tolerating for some reason, they can cancel you, unfortunately. I won’t talk about Islam anymore – it’s such a horror story for the whole world.”
According to a representative of the clergy, the last year has shown how the West has tried to cancel Russian culture and Russia in general. And not only the West, but also other countries that have joined this mainstream. It is not surprising that the West drew caricatures of the Prophet Muhammad, and someone reacted incorrectly to this.
“We, Muslims, must react in a balanced way, we must accept this challenge, say: okay, then we did not convey the Koran to you. We will tell it to you, we will print millions of copies of the Koran in the languages that are used in Sweden and Europe in general and give them to you for free, so that you become familiar with what you are burning, that is, what you are fighting against,” Bairov explained. – To my joy, after any such event, interest in Islam increases.
As the late Gaddafi said, there is no need to fight with Europe and fight for European lands - you just need to leave them, and in 50 years Europe will become Muslim.
It was an interesting forecast, and this is what Europe is heading towards, as we see. Therefore, all this struggle is understandable why it is happening, but it only arouses interest in Islam and the Koran.”
