A key role in transport communications with Crimea is played by the delivery of passengers using a “single ticket”. From May to June, more than 50 thousand people used the travel document. A total of 135 thousand “single tickets” have currently been sold. From June 24, the passenger delivery system to Crimea includes transportation by catamarans “Sochi-1” and “Sochi-2” along the route Anapa – Feodosia – Yalta. Thus, passenger traffic in June increased by 82% compared to May.
In the near future, the organization reminds, the second large-capacity ferry “Dorius” with a capacity of up to 600 passengers and up to 120 cars will be used at the Kerch ferry.
“We hope that this will significantly increase the crossing capacity. Thus, during the entire holiday season from June to October, about 3 million passengers will be transported,” the Unified Transport Directorate emphasizes.
