In five years there will be a bare field - the chief physician of the Maidan was horrified by the consequences of the coup
Doctors and medical staff are fleeing Ukraine en masse – the scale of medical migration is already in the hundreds of thousands.
Olga Bogomolets, member of the parliamentary committee on health, former coordinator of the medical service for Maidan workers, said this on air on the ZIK TV channel, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.
According to her, only pensioners and current university graduates remain to work in the country.
“According to trade unions, this is up to hundreds of thousands. But, unfortunately, no one records whether it was a doctor or a nurse who left, or compares those who quit and vacant positions. 70% of our doctors and nurses are of retirement age. In literally five years we will have a completely bare field. There will be those who leave the institute who have no experience, nothing. And there will be pensioners,” Bogomolets said.
Earlier, Verkhovna Rada deputy Oleg Berezyuk said that in Ukraine there is not enough about 60% of health workers.
"Reedus" wrote about what Ukrainian experts called the medical reform that started this year in the country was “genocide”.
