In five years, Polish history textbooks will write that the country was liberated from Nazism by aliens - Zakharova

So today in Sevastopol, the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova, commented on the amendments to the law “on the prohibition of propaganda of communism or another totalitarian system” approved by the Polish Senate.
“Now the scope of this act also extends to monuments and other memorials located outside the burial grounds in honor of Soviet soldiers who liberated Poland from Nazi occupation at the cost of great sacrifices. Owners of the plots on which these objects are located will be asked to dismantle them within a year. Moreover, they plan to encourage the initiative with reimbursement of expenses from the state treasury,” Zakharova said.
She believes that “Polish society is simply being imposed with uncontested views that have little to do with historical truth.”
“As a result of the way the so-called fight against totalitarianism is taking place, the Polish authorities themselves practice prohibitive methods and deny not only the feat of the Red Army, but also their own post-war history. Decommunization frees the hands of those who consider it normal to encroach on the sacred memory of the joint heroic struggle for liberation from fascism,” Zakharova said.
She addressed “ordinary Poles.”
“Aren’t you afraid that 5, 7, 10 years will pass, and in the history textbooks that your children will study from, it will be written that Warsaw and Poland were liberated from the Nazis by aliens? Are you ready for this? It seems to us that everything is heading towards this,” Zakharova said.
