Cherkassy: nationalists fought and took away the Victory Banner from veterans, and the police opened a case for red flags
In Cherkassy, before the start of celebrations on the occasion of Victory Day, a conflict arose between nationalists and veterans.

According to the city police, a conflict arose near the main stage “between representatives of some political forces and veterans over the latter’s attempt to unfurl a red flag with symbols. The conflict was quickly localized."
On social networks, city residents report that the brawl began after nationalists attempted to take the Victory Banner from one of the participants in the festive procession. Ultimately, the police detained not the attacking hooligans, but the peaceful participants of the festive rally.
Law enforcement officers opened criminal proceedings under Article 436-1 – Production, distribution, and public use of symbols of the communist, national socialist (Nazi) totalitarian regimes of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
