“It is possible that banks with Russian capital in Ukraine will now experience a liquidity crisis, provoked by panic among depositors. Sberbank, which was physically attacked last week, has already announced restrictions on withdrawals from accounts. If the situation is not brought under control, then the next step will be a hasty withdrawal of Russian banks from the Ukrainian market, multibillion-dollar losses for the budget and the loss of part of the banking system by Ukraine. And this, obviously, cannot but affect the financial system and the exchange rate,” the author warns.

“There is another negative side result: the country will receive a “black mark” for a long time from international investors, who are already not standing in line to come to a country where even the top officials of the state do not respect the law,” added Arbuzov. – Do the Ukrainian authorities understand all this? Probably not, since instead of taking the harshest measures against radicals who organize riots, they prefer to flirt with them by making loud decisions on meaningless “sanctions.”

As PolitNavigator reported, the Verkhovna Rada demanded the confiscation of Russian banks, and then the rest of the business.
