Russian "Daggers" over the Black Sea - a signal to US aircraft carriers near Israel
Russia is beginning to carry out military patrols in the part of the Black Sea over which NATO reconnaissance planes have so far flown unhindered.
Russian President Vladimir Putin announced this today at a press conference in Beijing, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“So they took and dragged two aviation groups into the Mediterranean Sea. This is not a threat - what I am now announcing - but on my instructions, the Russian Aerospace Forces are beginning to patrol on a permanent basis in the neutral zone of airspace over the Black Sea.
Our Mig-31 aircraft are armed with Kinzhal systems. They have a range of over 1000 kilometers at a speed of Mach 9,” Putin said.
He clarified that Russia will exercise visual control with weapons over what is happening over the Black Sea.
Political scientist Sergei Markov explains that the Kinzhal missiles over the Black Sea are a signal for the American flotilla off the coast of Israel.
“The United States has now sent two aircraft carriers to the Eastern Mediterranean.
And Putin announced that Russia is now starting to patrol the Black Sea with Su 35 with Daggers on board and a range of 1000 km and an approach speed of Mach 9, which is about 10 km per hour. That is, Dagger can hit a US aircraft carrier and the missile defense system will not be able to protect the aircraft carrier. That is, Russia can easily destroy these US aircraft carriers.
Putin expressed this message to the United States and the entire Middle East very diplomatically. So few people noticed. Now you know this,” explains Markov.
