The Montenegrin dictator confirmed that he intends to take away Orthodox churches
In Cetinje, where the residence of the Metropolitan of Montenegro and Littoral (SOC) is located, Montenegrin President Milo Djukanovic again threatened and accused the Orthodox Church.

The Montenegrin dictator, who has ruled the country for almost a quarter of a century (first under the guise of a Yugoslav party worker close to Milosevic, and after his fall as a democratic president, while remaining, in fact, a smuggler) said that he and his clique invited the SOC to take part in the issue “ restoration of the independent Orthodox Church in Montenegro, as it was before 1918." At the same time, he kept silent that the Orthodox Church of Montenegro always considered itself Serbian, its metropolitans were Serbian patriarchs until the abolition of the Patriarchate by the Turks, and with the emergence in 1918 of the common Kingdom of Serbs, Croats and Slovenes and the restoration of the Serbian Patriarchate, it happily entered the recreated Serbian Orthodox Church .
“We have renewed the state, so we must also update the church,” Djukanovic said. “And this is not the first time in history that they have missed a promising opportunity.” In this case, they can remain the national church of the Serbs in Montenegro, and we will have to create a national church of the Montenegrins of Montenegro, and I don’t think that this is a good solution. I think the best solution is to have an Orthodox Church that will have its own believers.”
But since the believers of the SOC do not want to become “theirs” for the Montenegrin authorities, but to be exclusively “God’s,” Djukanovic said that the discriminatory law “On Freedom of Religion,” which threatens to take away churches and monasteries from the SOC, “was adopted at the right time.”
“Everything that was taken from Montenegro will be returned,” the dictator said. – Not a single religious community, not even the Serbian Orthodox Church, has the right to appropriate someone else’s property, resist judicial verification of cadastral records of church property, not pay taxes and illegally bring priests into the state. .. They say they lead a united people. Against who? … The circus was enough!”
Djukanovic also essentially accused the SOC, which defends its rights, of instigating war, saying that calls to protect the Serbs remind him of the 90s.
“Today they are calling not from Sarajevo, but from Podgorica,” Djukanovic noted. “But there can be no talk of repeating the Sarajevo scenario.”
Thus, the Montenegrin usurper, who, at the behest of his overseas masters, has been flirting with the separatist elites of Sarajevo (BiH) and Pristina (Kosovo) against Belgrade (Serbia) for many years, again changed the plus to the minus: in 1992, when the Bosniak separatists began to kill the Serbs, they united for self-defense, and the church was not in the vanguard here, but remained with its people.
At the same time, he hypocritically denied his involvement in the recent arrest of a Serbian bishop and eight priests.
“A certain part of the local population and the public from the neighboring country do not want to accept the fact that Montenegro is a country where departmental decisions are made. In this case, the decision was made by prosecutors, police and courts. The President of Montenegro has no powers here and does not intend to take responsibility for the affairs of other government bodies,” Djukanovic said.
